About

I have a Masters Degree from the University of Manitoba with research centred on the experiences of Indigenous learners in K-12 education. I also work as a high school teacher in urban Winnipeg, teaching Indigenous Studies, Treaty Relations and Performing Arts. Recent publications have focused on facilitating authentic land-based experiences, with specific focus on building relationships with Indigenous communities by bringing students directly to these locations. I have presented my work at various universities and schools across Canada, with recent appearances at Peel District School Board, AP College Board, and the Indspire National Gathering.
